Recipe Type | Breakfast/Brunch |
1⁄2 | loaf bread (French preferably) | |
8 | Tablespoon | butter (less if you are watching your waistline) |
3 | Tablespoon | sugar |
1⁄2 | Teaspoon | cinnamon |
5 | eggs | |
3⁄4 | Cup | orange juice |
Heat the oven to 425 degrees and melt the butter in a heavy baking pan.
Scatter the sugar & cinnamon over the melted butter.
Beat eggs with the orange juice in a shallow bowl.
Slice bread about 3/4” thick. Dip each piece into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few moments. Place the soaked bread into the pan, arranging it so that the breads cover the bottom of the pan.
Bake for about 12 minutes, then turn each piece of bread over and bake another 12 minutes or so.
Serve dusted with powdered sugar & fresh fruit.
This is a delicious way to make French toast and it is ready all at the same time!
